È noto per i suoi ruoli nei musical di Broadway, Rent e Hedwig and the Angry Inch, nella serie TV Private Practice, nei film Benvenuta in Paradiso, Brown Sugar, The Best Man e nel suo sequel, The Best Man Holiday.
