Trama
Nella Berlino del 1902, due ufficiali - il britannico Clive Candy e il prussiano Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff - si misurano in un duello originato dall'amor di patria e dal senso dell'onore. Non basteranno né due conflitti mondiali combattuti su fronti contrapposti né la passione per un'unica donna a scalfire la profonda amicizia e il rispetto reciproco che ne scaturiranno.
