Trama
Lilah, casalinga insoddisfatta del New Jersey, cerca compenso alla mediocrità familiare recitando monologhi comici in un club di New York. Non ha molto successo, per la verità, con il pubblico, a differenza del giovane "collega" Steven, ex studente universitario e ora comico a tempo pieno. Tra i due nasce una calorosa amicizia.
