Trama
Una giovane provinciale, giunta in città, è costretta ad impiegarsi come domestica in casa di un giovane senatore. Durante una discussione si oppone al suo datore di lavoro e ciò segna l'inizio d'una brillante carriera politica che la porterà a Washington. L'uomo politico, sconfitto, diventerà suo marito.
